My wish list of places still to visit.
THAILAND
From bustling Bangkok to the famous markets of Chang Mai, to the Golden Triangle, and the shimmering beaches of Phuket, Thailand is at the top of my list.

BERLIN, GERMANY
Berlin has emerged as a city with an energetic and cutting-edge creative buzz.

HOLLAND
I haven’t been here since college and I’d love to go back to once again see the magnificent tulip fields and visit the last remaining Delft factory, built in 1653.

ISTANBUL

I’d like to get lost in the Grand Bazaar, inhale the exotic scents of the Spice Market, and gaze into exquisitely tiled domes of the Blue Mosque.

HELSINKI, FINLAND
Chosen as World Design Capital, in 2012.  I’d have to venture out of the city to see the most astonishing of all Finnish design, the Northern Lights.

MARRAKESH, MORROCO
I want to spend days wandering through the colorful souks.

ORIENT EXPRESS
I don’t know if it has anything to do with Agatha Christie, but I’ve always wanted to go on the classic Orient Express journey from London to Venice, traveling through Paris, the Italian Dolomites, and the Swiss Alps.

OSLO, NORWAY
The land of fjords, viking relics, The Scream, great design, and my ancestors.

PROVENCE, FRANCE
Haven’t been back since I hitchhiked here in college.  I’d love to make perfume in Grasse, visit Monaco, stand in the fields of lavender, and, of course, scour the flea markets in Aix en Provence.

RUSSIA
At Yale I designed a theatre set where I had to recreate a model of St. Basil’s Cathedral.  I have longed to stand in front of the real thing in Red Square, and see the palaces of the Tsars, Fabergè eggs, the Bolshoi Theatre, Hermitage Museum…
