12th century Cistercian abbey 2.5km south west from Thomastown on the N9. Inside the cloisters are ancient carvings - the odd carving of a bishop is accompanied by knights in splendid armor, courtly damsels, and the occasional fabulous beast.

The history of Dublin, housed in a Georgian house on St. Stephen’s Green. Artifacts have been donated by the public and include a letter from Samuel Beckett to a young boy who lived in the house he grew up in, the music stand used as a podium by John F Kennedy in his speech to the Irish Parliament in 1963, just a few months before he was assassinated, the First Edition of James Joyces’ Ulysses, and hundreds of other unique documents, photographs, and relics relating to Dublin’s last century.
